Naval warships and submarines at the design, build and initial support phases.
Hold a strong network of respected companies in
their field and have many years experience of co-coordinating ILS disciplines to
provide a complete and coherent support solution including:
- Influencing design to enable efficient
maintenance and maximise availability
- Conducting maintenance analysis using
respected RCM practitioners
- Preparing electronic publications to align
with maintenance activities using experienced technical authors and
illustrators
- Predicting initial spares requirements using
OEM and historical data
- Controlling the configuration of ship
systems
- Arranging NATO codification of all parts
needed for planned and remedial maintenance
- Managing system obsolescence
Most recent work has focused on the Queen
Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers and the T45 destroyers.
Previous projects have included the following,
mostly at the main prime contractors, but some with smaller organisations:
- Warship, submarine, and airborne sonar
systems
- Electronic Warfare Systems
- Research and design of rocket motors for
military missiles and satellite positioning (yes, a rocket scientist)
- Submarine weapon handling systems including
FEA of Trident fore end
- Power station research involving monitoring
the build up of radio-active particles resulting from passing radioactive
super-heated steam though a CEGB power station boiler
